Always Have Hope, Happiness Is Coming
Feeling Stuck

Life Always Goes Off Script But You’ll Live

You have a script, or a secret plan that you’ve had since college. You are going to graduate, find the perfect career, and have kids. What happens when you are knee deep in a career that you hate, have no kids, and are not married? No fallback plan, and you are scared to do anything. That’s real life that no one tells you about.

Life is a training ground, but it’s happening in real time. There’s no rewind, only full steam ahead and adapting as you go. You wish you could be like a kid and yell, “STOP,” and have everything just come to a halt, but that doesn’t happen. While you are yelling “STOP,” life keeps kicking and punching you while you are down.

This is when you have to remember to keep faith; eventually, what you are going through will let up. The thing is that you may want it to let up on your time or when you want it to, but it doesn’t. It’s on its own time, on its own schedule, and it doesn’t care what you feel. Giving up is not an option, but it’s hard to accept that the situation is temporary. When you are in it, it feels like it’s never going to go awa,y and it’s going to destroy you.

Your Script Means Nothing

Be willing to throw your script out the window. There’s no set path, and when people tell you there is, they aren’t being honest with you. Most of the time, when someone says their life script is working, they have settled and haven’t pushed the boundaries.

When you are trying to go far, you tend to fall. You may get a chance at a job you aren’t really ready for and lose it. There are times when you are good at your job, but you may be stressed from the responsibility. It’s scary to get laid off from a job that you thought you would be at forever. Those are honest situations that humble you and scare the mess out of you. Those are the times that you realize that you are not in control.

Life is pointing you in a different direction, and it’s throwing you off script on purpose.
