The Powerful Moment Finally Finding My Tribe

Building the Road, Finding my Tribe

I’ve spent months trying to figure out who the “right” people are for Cheerful Road. Not in a marketing way — in a human way. Who actually resonates with this message? Who feels seen by this kind of reflection? Who is quietly walking their own intentional journey and looking for a companion along the way?

I assumed my tribe would show up on social media first. LinkedIn. Instagram. Maybe Pinterest. That’s where I’ve been posting, experimenting, trying to signal to the people who feel like they’re in the season of almost.

But then something unexpected happened.

I checked my podcast analytics.

And the numbers were… different. Quietly strong. Steady. Growing without me pushing them.

It made me pause.

Because while I’ve been trying to “find my people” on the platforms everyone talks about, it turns out my tribe might already be listening — literally.

Podcast listeners are a different kind of audience. They’re intentional. They choose you. They sit with your voice, your thoughts, your reflections. They don’t scroll past you — they stay with you.

And maybe that’s exactly the kind of person Cheerful Road is built for.

People who want depth, not noise. People who want reflection, not performance. People who want to grow quietly, steadily, and honestly.

So here’s the twist I didn’t expect: I think my tribe might be podcast listeners.

Not because the numbers are huge — they’re not. But because the connection is real. Because the people who listen actually care. Because the podcast feels like the most natural expression of what Cheerful Road is becoming.

This is the part of building the road no one talks about: You don’t always find your tribe where you expect them. Sometimes they show up in the places you weren’t even looking.

So I’m leaning into it. Not abandoning the other platforms — just listening more closely to where the signal is strongest.

If you’re one of the people who listen… thank you. You’re helping me understand who this is really for. You’re helping me build the road with more clarity and more confidence.

And if you’re new here — welcome. Maybe you’re part of this tribe too.

I’m Jhasmal, the creator of Cheerful Road — a space for honest growth, intentional living, and the quiet courage it takes to become who you’re meant to be. I write to help you slow down, reflect, and walk your own road with clarity and heart.
